The NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission has officially confirmed a six month extension to Victorian NDIS Check transitional arrangements as announced by NDS on Monday 26 July.

Organisations will receive a Provider Alert from the NDIS Commission confirming the new deadline.

Workers who do not have a Working with Children Check (WWCC) but have a DWES Check and a Police Check will now have until 31 January 2022 to apply for an NDIS Check. These workers will not be able to continue in a risk assessed role after this new deadline if they have not applied for a check.

Workers who have a WWCC do not need an NDIS check until their WWCC expires.

All new starters must have an NDIS check before they commence in a risk assessed role in Victoria.
