WA COVID-19 update: More Free Rapid Antigen Tests for People with Disability and their Support Workers available

NDS COVId-19 News Update

12/10/2022

The Western Australian Government has made more free Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) available for people with disability and disability support workers. This follows a successful scheme where 20 free RATs were available to eligible individuals and organisations.

People with disability can now access an additional 20 free RATs per person, per request, while Disability Service Providers can order up to 20 RATs on behalf of their workers or people with a disability who they support.

This is on top of the RAT allocation for Western Australian households.

To request their RATs, people with disability, or someone on their behalf, can just turn up to a collection site. No form is required, but they will be asked to provide proof of eligibility.

Those people and organisations more than a 45-minute drive from a collection site or people who cannot attend due to their disability can request delivery through an online form.

More information, including eligibility requirements and links to the online form, can be found on the Department of Communities webpage, RATs for the Disability Sector.
