This workshop is a part of the NDS Risk, Incidents and Complaints Management (RICM) Skilling the Sector project supporting individual, small and medium disability service providers.

This workshop supports providers to consider the tools, strategies and approach to engage in effective continuous quality improvement.

The workshop will cover:

  • What does continuous quality improvement look like for sole, small and medium disability service providers?
  • What are the benefits of continuous quality improvement?
  • How data can inform improvement
  • What are the benefits of a root cause analysis process’?
  • Using risk, incidents and complaints reports for quality improvement
  • Ensuring the voice of people with disability are heard in your approach

Attendees will have an opportunity for Q and A with the presenters at the end of the session.

This workshop will be presented by Sharon Paley, a Registered Nurse who has post graduate qualifications in intellectual disability, research methodology and qualifications in audit and governance. Sharon is widely published and a respected presenter in many areas including behaviour support, risk assessment and restraint reduction. She has supported organisations to develop their continuous improvement methodology and looks forward to sharing strategies with providers.

This workshop is provided for free, through the RICM Project funding from the Australian Government.
