NDS commends the State Government's official release of the ten year State Disability Strategy [PDF] for Western Australians with disability. In particular, we acknowledge the Hon. Stephen Dawson MLC, Minister for Disability Services for his passion and drive to develop and finalise the Strategy.

Importantly, the Strategy provides opportunities for the whole community to work together to achieve transformative change. It sets a vision and direction for the next 10 years of a more inclusive Western Australia which signals the State's commitment to all people with disability and aims to promote their social and economic participation as well investing in a strong disability services sector that can continue to provide high-quality and safe services for people with disability.
