What you need to know

  • WA’s Safe Transition Plan and full border opening will commence Thursday, 3 March
  • New public health measures will commence Monday, 21 February, masks will be compulsory in all indoor public settings across the entire State, unless medically exempt
  • As of Monday, 21 February, visitation at residential disability care facilities and hospitals will be limited to 4 visitors per resident/patient per day. Exemptions apply for compassionate reasons.
Premier Mark McGowan has announced that Western Australia’s Safe Transition Plan and full border opening will commence at 12.01am on Thursday 3 March, 2022.Additional ‘Level 1’ public health and social measures will be implemented from 6am on Monday, 21 February. These measures will apply to the Perth, Peel, South West, Wheatbelt, Great Southern and Pilbara regions. If community transmission of COVID-19 is detected in the Kimberley, Gascoyne, Mid West and Goldfields-Esperance regions, Level 1 restrictions will be applied.
