Concerns about culture and a number of systemic issues were the focus of today’s evidence on the running of a Sunnyfield group home, the subject of this week’s case study. Detail was provided on investigations into allegations of violence, and investigator findings and recommendations.

The provider engaged an investigator to interrogate multiple allegations against two workers, referred to as ‘SP1’ and ‘SP2’. Where scope allowed, she made findings about the likelihood of allegations being sustained on the balance of probability, and recommendations. Balance of probability is a lower threshold than required for criminal investigations.
