The NSW Government announced the Social Sector Support Fund (SSSF) as part of its support package for not-for-profit organisations impacted by COVID-19.
The SSSF is targeted at organisations ineligible for the NFP JobSaver payments, but who are experiencing an increased demand for their services and/or a decline in income. Allocation methods and delivery will be flexible to ensure that not-for-profit services are able to continue to provide services to vulnerable people and communities. The fund is administered by the NSW Department of Communities and Justice.
Not-for-profit providers will be eligible to apply for JobSaver if their turnover declined between 15 per cent and 30 per cent or more as a result of COVID-19. NDS will advise members when JobSaver applications open.
Providers are able to register their interest for the SSSF via a simple form. Registrations close 5.00pm Friday 8 October 2021.
