How to have your say on NDIS pricing before the 10 March deadline

23/02/2024

The 2023–24 Annual Pricing Review has been extended and now closes on Sunday 10 March. This year we are encouraging members to tell their own story of how poor pricing is affecting your organisation. Lend your voice to our key messages and support our advocacy for a sustainable disability sector.

Based on feedback from members we have developed a checklist to support organisations as they complete their submissions. The checklist gives examples of what to include in your response to the NDIS Annual Pricing Review Provider Consultation Paper and includes advice on these questions:

  1. Have you included information about your organisation?
  2. Have you identified what areas of the Annual Pricing Review you will respond to?
  3. Have you detailed your direct staffing costs?
  4. Have you included all relevant overhead costs?
  5. Have you highlighted other factors that are influencing your costs?

We also provide helpful hints on writing your submission, whether you are writing something short and simple or more detailed.

Tight on time

If you are pressed for time, consider a short submission using our key messages and touching on one or two of the points below:

  • How do NDIS prices impact your participants, your workforce, your community, your organisation and its future?
  • What changes are needed to support your organisation’s sustainability and keep you operating effectively in the sector?
  • Are you concerned about your organisation’s capacity to implement the wave of reforms that are coming our way? What support would help you ride this wave?

Keen to provide more detail

If you have more time, the more detailed information that you can give to the review the better.

Consider using some of the resources that NDS has developed to work through the questions asked by the NDIA. Don’t forget to include any evidence you have that details the actual costs of delivering your services. Our resources include:

Volume speaks, and we want members to have their say. Members wishing to discuss their submission can contact Karen Stace, NDS Consultant: submit enquiry/feedback
