The Department of Social Services (DSS) has released the mid-term review of the DES program, undertaken by Boston Consulting Group (BCG) between May and August 2020. NDS welcomes the release of the report, which we had strongly advocated for to both the Government and DSS since it was finalised last year. 

The review report contains 61 recommendations, one of which has been redacted.

NDS agrees with some of the recommendations, including closer links between DES and the NDIA to develop participant centred approaches, as well as minimising the role of DES providers in monitoring participant mutual obligations.
