ACT COVID-19: Updated advice for high-risk settings
2/09/2021
From 29 August 2021, anyone who has been in a geographical area of risk should not visit or work in high-risk settings for 14 days since leaving these areas.
Anyone who has been in a COVID-19 area of concern is subject to stay at home or quarantine requirement.
A high-risk setting is one in which there may be a large number of people who are vulnerable to disease (e.g. with chronic health conditions) and have a higher risk of transmission due to difficulty with physical distancing.
If you operate a high-risk setting, the following questions are recommended for your visitor and staff screening tool:- Do you have any COVID-19 symptoms?
- Have you been to any close contact locations in the ACT in the last 14 days?
- Are you a close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case and it has been 14 days or less since your last exposure to the case?
- Are you currently in quarantine?
- Do you live in a household with a person who is currently in quarantine or isolation?
- Have you been in a geographical area of risk in the last 14 days?
If a person answers yes to any of the above questions, they should not enter the facility.
To keep your screening tool up to date, NDS suggests you add the geographical areas of risk to your screening tool, or display them beside it.
