The Department of Social Services has advised DES providers of an IT system defect that resulted in incorrect risk-adjusted funding level payments for some participants between 1 July 2018 to 27 November 2021.  

The department has undertaken a reconciliation to identify incorrect outcome payments and has commenced advising affected providers of applicable details and arrangements to rectify underpayments. This will be conducted initially with providers who do not have novated or transferred contracts. Following legal advice, the department will contact those who may have novated debts and recoveries.
