Behaviour Support Plan Authorisation

The Office of the Senior Practitioner in Victoria has announced that in line with their safeguarding responsibilities they will reinstate previous authorisation times for Behaviour Support Plans.

This means that authorisation timelines of not more than 6 months for Interim Behaviour Support Plans and 12 months for Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans will come into effect on the 31 October 2022.

There may be exceptions to this if the Victorian Senior Practitioner feels the nature of the restrictions require a shorter time frame for review. For more please see the information sheet [PDF] released from the Senior Practitioner.
