The WA Department of Communities (Communities) is hosting an information session on the WWC Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check for community service organisations who are required to comply. The online session is on Thursday 6 July at 10:30am for an hour. 

It will cover:  

  • the functions of Communities’ WWC Check and NDIS Worker Screening Units 
  • the differences between the two checks and other types of screening processes 
  • what records and information the screening units consider  
  • procedural fairness for applicants 
  • an update on amendments to WWC Check legislation and what this means for community service organisations. 

There will be time for questions from attendees.
