A few weeks ago I had the privilege of being interviewed by Cale and Ashley, the hosts of Rope TV. This is a YouTube channel produced by Rope Association, a service provider in Redcliffe. It is a very professional program, covering different topics each month. I explained what NDS is and how we advocate on behalf of our members to government. You can view the episode on their channel.

NDS Queensland staff have been busy attending network events across the State, as well as representing our members at numerous State Government events and consultations.

On 30 May at the Kedron-Wavell Services Club in Brisbane, NDS will host our 2023 Hot Topics Breakfast with Laurie Leigh, our CEO, giving an update on the major issues facing the sector, nationally and for Queensland. Minister Crawford will also speak, giving the Queensland Government perspective. This is always a popular event, and we expect another sell out, so remember to register early on the event’s webpage

NDS nationally has been busy, with CEO Laurie Leigh meeting recently with the Minister for NDIS, Bill Shorten, to discuss systemic issues. Meanwhile, among other initiatives, the NDS’s policy and advocacy team has submitted a response to the NDIA’s Pricing Review 2022–23.
