Early-bird registrations are open for NDS’s Regional and Remote Conference 2023. The conference on 14 March at the Darwin Conference Centre will focus on the opportunities for disability service providers in regional and remote areas. 

It will acknowledge the hardship experienced by regional and remote services and search for answers to key sector questions:  What can the future of disability service provision look like? What are the opportunities? How can we reach best practice through solutions?   

The conference will explore topics of special concern and urgency for regional and remote providers:  

  • Workforce sourcing and retention   
  • Good service provision     
  • Effective engagement with communities and cultures
  • Culturally secure practices 

Those unable to travel to Darwin can connect to the conference livestream. 

Cost 

  • Early Bird NDS Member: $350 
  • Early Bird NDS Industry Supporter: $380 
  • Early Bird Non-member: $420

Register for the Regional and Remote Conference 2023 

Call for papers 

If you are a provider that has a story or a solution to share, we want to hear about the work you have undertaken to drive your organisation into the future. Submit an abstract of up to 300 words and contribute to this year's conference program by filling out the call for papers form located on the conference website by Friday 10 February 2023. Poster and video extracts will also be accepted. A programming committee will be convened to review and shortlist submissions.
