Report shows high risk of homelessness for People with Disability leaving prison

Royal Commission Update

A new Disability Royal Commission report, "People with Disability Transitioning from Prison and their Pathways into Homelessness," found that people with disability have a significantly higher risk of homelessness when leaving prison. Conducted by the Australian Institute of Criminology in partnership with the NDIA, it explored the experiences of people with disability who left prison and became homeless. 

The report found that people with disability who have transitioned from prison are at a significantly increased risk of homelessness. The report found that people with disability:
