The Victorian Government's review of Social and Affordable Housing Regulation is considering various elements impacting outcomes in public, community, and affordable housing.

NDS's submission calls on the State Government to make Victoria more inclusive of people with disability, create more opportunities for people with disability, and positively shape the way all Victorians live over time.

Our submission recommends that:

  1. More social housing is built to meet the needs of people with disabilities.
  2. Growth of sustainable social housing is encouraged, serving the interests of tenants with disabilities, their families, carers, and support workers.
  3. Victorian tenancy protections be amended to reflect the contemporary disability housing environment.
