Improving the lives of people with disability

Disability support workers provide physical, social and emotional support for people with disability through a person-centred approach. The support is across all areas of life, including participation, employment, achievement of personal goals, and inclusion in the community.

Selection Process

The Program involves a screening process which provides ‘right fit’ jobseekers an opportunity to participate in an Assessment Centre. This will be an opportunity to gain a better understanding of what a role in the disability sector might look like and provide exposure to local employers.

Jobseekers will complete activities at the Assessment Centre and employers will then offer successful candidates an interview, employment, or work experience opportunities.
