The Disability Royal Commission has released a schedule of hearings for the rest of 2020. NDS will report on all of the hearings, with some expected to be of great interest to the sector.
Public hearings had been suspend due to COVID-19, and will resume with a hearing from 18 to 21 August focussing on the pandemicâs impact on people with disability.
In a media release, Chair Sackville noted the impact of COVID-19 on the Commissionâs work. Most witnesses in the August hearing will appear via video and the hearing room will not be open to the public, but will be streamed.
