A hearing on Barriers to accessing school education starts next Monday in Brisbane. The scope and purpose of the hearing includes: impact of suspension/expulsion; provision of adjustments; individualised planning; use of restrictive practices; teacher training; and impacts on the life course of students with disability. NDS will be covering the hearing via news updates.
Key themes from the hearing on Psychotropic medication, behaviour support and behaviours of concern included:
