RC to look at disability services case studies
5/05/2021
Upcoming Disability Royal Commission hearings focusing on disability services will now be conducted as case studies. The Disability Royal Commission has updated its hearing schedule, noting each hearing will involve a case study into âPreventing and responding to violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation in disability services.â The hearings, which will run through the weeks of 24 May and 7 June, had previously been listed as on âthe NDIS and service providers.'
NDS's Royal Commission hub has information and resources which members may find useful leading up to these hearings. In particular, the information sheet 'communicating well during the Royal Commission', offers advice on how to support your staff, clients and their families through what we assume will span difficult subject matter.Â
