RC considers responsibility, plan development and implementation, and data

Today, Commonwealth officials gave evidence to the Commission about the development and implementation of COVID-19 plans, responsibility, data and communication of information. Some personal stories were also heard.
Graeme Head and Samantha Taylor appeared for the NDIS Commission. Questioning considered who has primary responsibility during a pandemic, the extent to which the NDIS Commission should have guided or directed providers, and the amount of information being gathered and acted upon regarding infection. It was revealed that the Commission was aware of eight NDIS participants and one disability support worker who had died from COVID-19.
