DRC releases issues paper on rights and attitudes

30/04/2020
The Disability Royal Commission has released an issues paper focusing on attitudes towards people with disability, and understanding of their rights.
The paper considers how rights and attitudes impact people with disability over the course of their lives. This includes where people's attitudes, and their understanding of rights, interact with violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation of people with disability. The Commission wants to understand the extent to which rights are promoted and safeguarded in organisations' and governments' laws, policy and practice.
