The Workplace Literacy Project

The Workplace Literacy Project

NDS Tasmania has worked with providers between 2015 and 2018 to carry out the actions of the Workplace Literacy Project. The need for this work was identified as part of the Disability Workforce Innovation Network (DWIN). It was considered an important workforce development focus in preparing for the requirements of the NDIS workplace.

Funded in Tasmania by 26TEN, NDS worked with disability service providers to see how we could strengthen workforce skills in these areas.

The cost of low-level, workforce literacy skills can be significant. This can however be mitigated by the benefits experienced by employers engaged in workplace literacy projects. Read a summary of research about this in the Workplace Literacy flyer  (with accessible version).
