Tell us about the State of the Disability Sector

The NDS annual State of the Disability Sector survey has been completed for 2022.
The results of the State of the Disability Sector survey, along with our Workforce Census, are published in the annual NDS State of the Disability Sector Report, released at the NDS CEOs Meeting in November.
The survey is conducted in partnership with the University of Sydney and is now in its ninth year. This is our major tool to capture your views on the state of disability policy and the operating environment.
The report is extensively referred to by the media, government, and key players in our sector. The State of the Disability Sector Report helps inform our advocacy in a way no other industry survey does.
Who should complete the State of the Disability Sector survey?
The State of the Disability Sector survey should be completed by the CEO or a member of your senior management team, or the business owner if you are a sole proprietor. The survey takes approximately 30 minutes.
Independent analysis and reporting
The State of the Disability Sector survey analysis and reporting is conducted independently by the Centre for Disability Research and Policy at The University of Sydney, led by Professor Jennifer Smith-Merry and her research team.
Surveys closed on Friday, 23 September 2022.
