NDIS Quality and Safeguarding series: Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices

This member-exclusive webcast considers one of the most challenging domains of the new quality framework – the development and implementation of behaviour supports and the use of regulated restrictive practices. This area throws up considerable uncertainty for providers unsure about the impact of changes on existing arrangements and the interface with the new state-based authorisation procedures for restrictive practices.

The webcast takes a high-level overview of the NDIS Commission’s approach to behaviour supports; focuses on ‘what changes’ and ‘what stays the same’ for providers at the policy level regulated by the Commission; and explores ways in which NDS’s Zero Tolerance framework can be applied to support the overall objective of keeping people with challenging behaviours safe and included.
