In its submission to the Victorian Government, NDS outlines our concerns about the proposed registration and accreditation scheme for the disability workforce.

Submission to the NDIS Joint Standing Parliamentary Committee on accommodation

4/03/2016

I need to know this because:
  • Find out why housing market intervention and investment are needed to enable better outcomes for people with disability
  • Read about NDS’s proposed disability housing strategy and how it should be carried out
  • Find out how developers, planners, housing providers, disability providers, families and banks can create better housing options
  • Find out how the Australian Government can play a key role in facilitating collaboration between all governments and other stakeholders

NDS welcomes the Committee's focus on housing as it offers an opportunity to promote action beyond what the NDIS can do on its own. No single level or area of government can successfully address housing issues for people with disability; collaborative and innovative solutions involving many players is necessary to substantially increase supply.
