Beginning Monday, 19 July people with disability, carers and disability workers can attend any State-run vaccination clinic in WA without an appointment to receive their COVID-19 vaccination.
The priority vaccine initiative will run until Sunday, 1 August 2021 and includes anyone aged 16 years and older in either Phase 1a or 1b. People aged 16 to 60 will receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, while those over 60 will receive the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
Steps to get vaccinated:
- Register through VaccinateWA or call 13 COVID (13 26843) before attending the clinic. This will make the process at the clinic quicker.
- When you arrive, please go to the priority lane. If there isn’t one, please speak to the administrative staff and let them know you are a person with disability, carer or disability worker.
- Make sure to arrive at least one hour before the clinic is due to close.
- You may have to queue for a short time during busy periods.
Please note: people working in the disability sector will be asked to provide evidence of their employment such as a photo ID, payslip, or letter from their employer. It is preferable that people with disability and carers also bring documentation to support their eligibility in this cohort.
From Monday, 2 August people with disability, carers and disability workers can book priority access appointments through VaccinateWA or by calling 13 COVID.
