WA CEO Roundtable Hot Topics Breakfast - The Future of the NDIS Without Independent Assessments
Building on the successful Hot Topics Breakfast Series, we are pleased to invite your organisation to attend the next Hot Topics Breakfast event for WA Board Members, CEOs and Senior Management on Tuesday 5 October.
We are delighted to welcome Professor Bruce Bonyhady AM as guest presenter. Professor Bonyhady is a disability reformer, economist, one of the key architects of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and was the inaugural Chair of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) from 2013 to 2016. Professor Bonyhady AM will provide his perspective on the future of the NDIS in what will be an important discussion, following the decision to scrap independent assessments and in the context of the upcoming Federal election and bilateral agreement negotiation.
We are also thrilled to have Mike Rowe, Director General of the Department of Communities join us following the McGowan Government’s announcement to establish Western Australia’s first Office of Disability. Mike will detail the functions and vision of ‘the Office,’ which will sit within the Department of Communities to promote the rights and interests of people with disability and the broader disability sector. Mike is a renowned member of the Western Australian Government's senior executive service. He has worked for over 25 years in a variety of leadership, policy, advisory and delivery roles across multiple agencies.
The event includes breakfast. Mark your diary and register online today for the hottest ticket in town. Registrations close Friday 1 October.
