Updated COVID-19 advice for NSW providers
24/12/2020
The Ministry of Health has reviewed and updated the advice issued to disability service providers on 21 December. Advice issued on 23 December contains amended visiting rules for providers in Greater Sydney and regional NSW. Visitors from the Northern Beaches continue to be excluded.
Staff should continue to wear masks in all residential facilities and when providing in home support.
Staff should also be excluded if they have symptoms, are a close contact of a confirmed case and still required to isolate and have been in any of the locations that appear on the self-isolate and get tested immediately list or on the monitor for symptoms list except where otherwise noted on the webpage.
This guidance is in place until at least 11.59pm 30 December and providers should ensure that they check the Health website regularly for updates.
CEO’s and senior leaders are also invited to register for our upcoming meeting being held on 6th January. This meeting will provide an opportunity to debrief and share experiences of responding to this latest outbreak with colleagues.
NDS’s Coronavirus hub provides quick links to Health Departments and resources including discounted PPE for members.
