South Australia’s proposed COVID-19 vaccine rollout
19/01/2021
The South Australian Government has announced its proposed rollout plan for the COVID-19 vaccine in SA [PDF] as part of Australia’s national COVID-19 vaccine rollout strategy.
The SA Department of Health and Wellbeing outlined the rollout plan at a sector forum this week – available to view on YouTube.
It is important to note that both staff and residents working and living in group accommodation are scheduled to be offered the vaccine from February 2021.
The plan outlines program principles, State v Commonwealth roles and responsibilities, priority populations and rollout timetables, vaccination locations, workforce, communication and other logistical considerations.
The South Australian Government seeks feedback, questions and advice regarding any aspect that could be helpful in ensuring the vaccine is delivered as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Members are encouraged to contact Peter Hoppo with their feedback or questions by Friday 29 January, which will be consolidated and provided to SA Health to assist with their planning.
