The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) new Client Incident Management System (CIMS) is due to commence on July 1, 2017. NDS members acknowledge the benefits an effective incident management system can bring to their organisations’ quality and safeguarding efforts. However, members have raised issues of concerns which have risen in their preparation for implementation of the new system.
Many of these concerns are being exacerbated by the concurrent transition to the NDIS. NDS recently met with the Department to outline member concerns and request further information about the rollout.
