The Government of South Australia Department of Treasury and Finance’s Commercial and Economics Branch and Department of Human Services are seeking registrations for a Market Sounding Process, for the transfer of the government’s Domiciliary Equipment Service (DES) to the non-government sector.The DES manages the equipment and home modification needs of approximately 15,000 people in South Australia, including clients from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), DHS, Lifetime Support Scheme, hospitals and community care agencies and people privately hiring equipment.
Due to reforms in the aged care sector and the introduction of the NDIS, clients can now access services directly from the community and NGS. The cabinet has now approved a competitive market process, including procurement, to occur prior to 30 June 2019 in order to determine a non-government provider for DES.REGISTRATION PROCESSParties interested in participating in the Market Sounding Process need to comply with the following process:• Interested parties are required to register to the SA Tenders and Contracts website.• The Registration of Interest form has been released onto the SA Tenders and Contracts website (under Current Tenders – Reference: DTFMPU044662)• Interested Parties are required to submit a completed Registration of Interest form via the SA Tenders and Contracts website, which will require the following details:- Name of the organisation- Contact email address.- Names of up to four people to attend a one-on-one Industry Briefing Session, to be held from 29 January 2019 to 31 January 2019- Other relevant details (if any)• Nominees will be contacted to confirm arrangements to participate in the Market Sounding Process and provided with a Request for Information (RFI) document, following receipt of a completed Registration of Interest (ROI) form, available on the tender website.
