Restrictive Practice Authorisation process consultation now open

The current NSW Restrictive Practice Authorisation (RPA) policy applies to behaviour support delivered by NDIS service providers to NDIS participants in NSW. This is an interim model that ends on 30 June 2020.Overseen by the Department of Premier and Cabinet, the consultation is seeking input into a future Restrictive Practice Authorisation (RPA) model for NSW. The consultation paper looks at the following key areas:

The consultation paper includes questions for people with disability and providers. Feedback is able to be provided by completing an online survey, participating in an on line or face to face forum, by phone or by mail. Consultations close on 30 August 2019.NDS will be meeting with the Department of Premier and Cabinet to discuss RPA in NSW and will also provide a submission.Members interested in contributing to NDS's submission should contact Jenny Klause at or Edwina Pickering at .
