Response to latest price review is disappointing

Hand on a keyboard with the words NDIS price guide released

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) has announced NDIS prices for the 2017-18 financial year.

NDIS prices for daily activities (including Supported Independent Living) and community participation will increase by 4.5 per cent from July. This represents indexation for the national minimum wage case and Equal Remuneration Order on labour costs (estimated to be 80 per cent of costs) and CPI of 2.1 per cent on non-labour costs.

NDS is seeking clarification from the NDIA about the level of indexation being applied on labour costs. The Agency has indicated it is using 1.7 per cent for ERO, but this is less than the 1.9 per cent applied in recent years. We will update members as soon as we have this clarified.
