The fund will provide grants for projects that improve the provision of a broader range of sustainable, quality services to people with disability and their families who live in regional and remote areas of WA.
The issues affecting regional and remote service provision and thin markets are well documented. Regional and remote service providers have relationships with the key local stakeholders and are best placed to research, understand the cause of these challenges and identify potential solutions.
Through this initiative, grants of up to $100,000 and up to $200,000 will be made available. The applicant organisation must be NDIS registered at the time their application is lodged and actively operating in the region/s to which their proposal relates.
The regions are:
- Goldfields/Esperance
- Great Southern
- Kimberley
- Midwest/Gascoyne
- Pilbara
- South West
- Wheatbelt
This initiative will be administered by NDS in WA and is funded by the Department of Communities.
