This news update provides updates on activities in the Work Health and Safety and Workers Compensation in NSW.NDS conducted a small project, with the support of icare, that aimed to examine trends in incident rates and costs for the three main industry classifications utilised in the disability sector. Though only a small sample, the data indicated an increase in claims per 1,000 workers, and in average gross workers compensation premiums, between 2013 and 2017. However, both of these areas demonstrated significantly decreased claims in 2017.
