NSW Conference 2020 registrations now open
Registrations for our flagship conference in the state, the NDS's NSW Conference 2020, are now open!
The NSW Conference will be held on 6 and 7 April at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Sydney. Exploring the theme ‘What Matters Most’, the conference will encourage delegates to reflect on what matters most for people with disability, the sector, our current and future workforce and our communities.
In addition to an update from NDS CEO David Moody and presentations from the NDIS Commission and the NDIA, this year’s program features an exciting mix of keynote sessions, including:
- Strategies to build resilience in ourselves and the teams that we work in
- How to have conversations that matter with the people that we support
- Developing and telling a compelling organisational story
- Lessons from the Administrative Appeals Tribunal
- What matters most when it comes to inclusion
Interactive workshops across a range of key areas will also be featured in the conference. Topics will include how to ensure that your quality system supports high-quality service delivery, what matters most when supporting people with a psychosocial disability, creating a positive workplace culture, employment and supported employment, trauma-informed care, and the Disability Royal Commission. We are also pleased to offer a 90-minute workshop with Professor Christine Bigby from Latrobe University on what makes great accommodation support.
The conference will cater to a diverse audience including disability sector CEOs, board members, managers, team leaders and frontline staff.
