NDS, the peak body for disability providers, welcomes the government’s announcement that it will deliver the full $398 million in funding to support people with disability through the Information, linkages and Capacity (ILC) Building program.

NDS CEO Chris Tanti said funding through ILC will support people with disability who are not eligible for an individual National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) support plan.

In today's announcement, the government said it will provide funding across four key areas, including longer term funding through organisations run by people with disability, their families and carers.“In its review of NDIS costs late last year, the Productivity Commission said ILC funding is critical to the success of the NDIS and recommended the government increase ILC funding to the full $131milliion a year during the roll out.
