NDS's submission on the State Disability Plan (2021-2025) calls for the Plan to align to the National Disability Strategy, be aspirational and include targets for all arms of government.

The submission recognises the importance of universal design, accessible public transport and inclusive schools. Specifically, we propose that the Plan address the areas of health, accessible infrastructure and prevention of abuse. We argue that although there have been significant improvements in recent years to transport, community access and choice and control of people with disability, Victoria still has work to do to create an accessible community. We suggest that government departments report on disability inclusion targets to Parliament.
