NDS will receive an Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) grant to help develop schools' capability to include students with disability.

The Building School Capacity for an Inclusive Future project is designed to maximise student inclusion and learning outcomes. It aims to build awareness and collaboration between students with disability, their families, teachers, students without disability, disability service providers and the broader school community. A suite of initiatives and resources will be developed in consultation with stakeholders.

NDS is leading this project as part of a consortium comprising The Junction Works, Holsworthy Community of Schools and TAFE NSW. Further partners will be engaged as the project expands to other states.

We believe that the project will provide opportunities for the involvement of NDS members, and we look forward to exploring these opportunities in the coming months.

NDS congratulates those members also successful in receiving an ILC grant. A full list of recipients and their projects is available online.

We will keep members updated of the project’s progress and opportunities for engagement in the next few weeks.
