NDS has received feedback from members about issues with the Disability Support for Older Australians (DSOA) program, which replaced the former Continuity of Supports program in July 2021.  

While some organisations were hopeful that the DSOA program would lead to positive outcomes for older Australians with disabilities, many were concerned about significant issues in the rollout of the program. 

With the DSOA program extended until the end of 2023, NDS developed an issues paper to inform discussions with government in the lead up to the 2023–24 Federal Budget.
