Several people have been recognised for their outstanding service for people with disability and their impact within our sector.

NDS congratulates all of those people included on the Queen’s Birthday honours list, particularly of course, those recognised for their service over an extended time within the disability sector. They are:

Member of the Order of Australia (AM)

Dr Jennifer Fitzgerald – for significant service to people with disability through leadership and advocacy roles

Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM)

Tony Burns – for service to people with disability

Patrick Maher – for service to people with disability

Susan McHattie – for service to people living with Acquired Brain Injury, and their families

Dr Gerard Naughtin – for service to people with disability

Laura O’Reilly – for service to people with disability
