Victoria in Focus by Sarah Fordyce, April 2024

We have stepped up advocacy and consultation as we seek to inform government responses to the NDIS Review.

NDS and the NDIS Commission join for workshops on regulatory burden

Regulatory Burden Workshops, NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, Hosted by NDS

30/05/2023

NDS is pleased to host a series of workshops with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on the regulatory burden felt by many providers.

The workshops will be in Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane, with a virtual event for regional and remote providers.

The NDIS Commission is seeking to continue to build productive relationships with all providers based on information sharing and learning.

During the workshops, we would like to hear from you about the regulatory and compliance challenges, issues and, importantly, the opportunities for improvement in regulatory processes.

Together we’ll consider what adjustments and improvements can be made to regulatory processes to reduce regulatory burden without compromising participant safeguards, rights, and service quality.

The NDIS Commission has recently launched several initiatives to improve how they operate and deliver greater clarity to you as providers. In the workshops, they will go through the details of their new Regulatory Approach, the outcomes of the Inquiry into Supported Accommodation and the latest developments in the Workforce Capability Framework.

We invite you or your representative to attend these free events, which include a light lunch and the chance to network with fellow providers.

Please note: Maximum registration per organisation for each session is two guests.

Who should attend?

NDS recommends CEOs, Quality Managers and other senior staff involved in leading, shaping and implementing quality and safeguarding attend these workshops.
