The NDIA is introducing independent assessments from early next year, with information gained being used in access and planning decisions. It has just released the Functional Capacity Assessment Framework (the Framework) which informs the new approach.

The Framework emphasizes the need for consistency in decision-making as a driving factor for introducing independent assessments, which will involve administering a suite of assessment tools.
