NDS WA has updated the National Standards for Disability Services Toolkit with additional resources and templates for organisations looking to build their capacity to deliver high quality and safe services.

The work was made possible through a grant from the Department of Communities- Disability Services and focused on quality and safeguarding.

There are several new policy templates which have been developed to also work with the NDIS Practice Standards into the future. Organisations will need to ensure they are adapted to meet an organisation’s specific requirements and timeframes.

New tools include
• Whistle-blower policy sample
• Risk Management policy sample
• Social Media policy sample
• Direct Health Support policy sample
• A Quality practice guide and map of the Service Standards to the Practice Standards
• A simplified risk management tool for sole and small providers
• Guidelines for establishing a policy development group
