The Department of Social Services (DSS) has engaged the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to conduct a review of the Disability Employment Services (DES) program.

The review seeks answers to four key questions on the operation of the DES program under the 2018 contract:

The review will be conducted in a short time and will include data analysis, engagement with government departments, disability advocates, peak bodies and academics as well as interviews with, and a survey of, providers and employers. Job seekers and DES participants will also be approached if ethics concerns can be resolved.
