Vic Govt establishing Victorian Skills Authority
13/05/2021
The Victorian Skills Commission (VSA) is being established as a result of the findings of the Skills for Victoriaâs Growing Economy review led by former Federal Minister, Jenny Macklin. The VSA will be formally established on 1 July 2021, building on the work of the previous Victorian Skills Commission.
The Macklin review made 30 recommendations that highlighted the need for a strong institutional base for a more collaborative skills system that can deliver the training requirements Victoria needs. It also recommended the development of an annual Victorian Skills Plan that sets out the skills needs in Victoria for the year ahead and beyond.
