Learn about restrictive practice responsibilities in the NT
From July 2019, service providers in the NT will be expected to meet restrictive practices requirements under the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework - aiming to address practices that restrict the rights or freedom of movement of people with disability.
To assist NT providers to understand the complexities of restrictive practices and to prepare for the upcoming changes in this area, the Public Guardian NT and NDS are delivering a workshop on this topic.
CEOs and Senior Managers are encouraged to attend to discuss NGOs’ restrictive practice responsibilities under current legislation and how it may apply to them after 1 July 2019.
The key speaker at the event will be Frank Lambrick, Senior Practitioner in Disability at the Office of Professional Practice, Department of Health and Human Services Victoria.
