Industry Associations are encouraged to lodge their updated rules (often referred to as the constitution) with Consumer Protection. The three-year transition period to make necessary changes to the rules ends on 30 June 2019. To ensure that Associations meet the deadline, Consumer Protection is encouraging Associations to review and update the rules prior to the next Annual General Meeting. (Please check your existing rules to confirm the change of rules can be passed at an AGM.)

Resources to help with updating the rules are now on the Changing your Rules webpage, including videos to guide you through each step. Whether you are making a start or are well-advanced in the process, we encourage you to take advantage of these resources and promote them to your network.
